If I had to sum up the Power of Y-Knot and when it has most affected me, it would be in the right now!

You see I always had this urge to become involved in some aspect of the Motivational speaking industry. Even though I really hadn't the foggiest idea of how to get started. I began writing e-mails to various web sites that had a motivational theme to them.

I sent e-mail to motivational speakers and asked each one how I might best go about breaking into the motivational speaking arena. Most were very nice, but didn't tend to share a lot of information with me.

I particularly remember one fellow who blatantly asked me who I thought I was to want to join the ranks of the privileged few successful motivational speakers. Needless to say I was a bit disheartened.

Then it hit me like a ton of bricks, if I wanted to make a dent I would have to be the one to do it! So that is exactly what I set out to do. As a result I have started "The Motivational Mecca!" which has managed to build a bit of a community. In addition to our web site which has had over 60,000 actual visitors in under its first year, we have managed to build up a daily e-ziine called, The Inspiration a Day! This currently goes out to a little over 1,280 daily readers. It's an on-going adventure, but with out a doubt it never would have happened without the power of asking Why Not!"
